Sólveig Katrín Jónsdóttir
Nature Coach, IS

As a young woman, Sólveig Jónsdóttir was an internationally successful photo model. She grew up in Iceland together with her older sister in a middle-class family. While working as a model abroad, she learned of the unexpected death of her schizophrenic sister, which caused her to abandon her modeling career. She decided to start training as a therapist in order to reduce the suffering of schizophrenic children. During her education in England she was challenged to face her own shadows. She discovered her deep Icelandic roots and her relationship to nature, which gave her more strength.

Already during her work at the Psychiatric Clinic for Children in Reykjavik she began a further education as a “nature based coach”. Meanwhile she was married and mother of two small children. After a painful separation from her husband, everything collapsed for her, including physical immobility, which led to a chaotic life situation for the young family. With the help of her friends she was able to “get up” again after a long time. She then decided to give up her secure job in the clinic in order to lead people to transformative processes in nature as a “nature based coach”.

“The intention with the workshop is to dive within and to take a hero’s journey and transform the wounded part of yourself.”
